The Kawasaki KX 65 Review

For more than 3 decades now, Kawasaki’s smallest KX moto-crosser has played a major role in motocross sport. It has provided a race-winning stage on which innumerable Supercross and national champions have started their journey to super-star status. The Kawasaki KX 65 today maintains the same effective attributes, including a reliable and powerful two-stroke engine, disc brakes, light-weight chassis, and a long travel suspension.

Engine and Transmission

The bike’s liquid-cooled- 64cc engine gives a remarkable amount of energy for its relatively lesser displacement and its cutting-edge smooth shifting 6-speed-transmission with manual clutch aids in the transfer of that great power to the surface in the most effective fashion.
The 64cc two-stroke engine with digital ignition provides ideal timing for improved throttle response all through the rev range. An electro fusion-coated cylinder with cutting-edge exhaust and transfer ports for more power and increased performance at higher rpm.

Chassis, wheels, brakes, and suspension

The bike’s semi-double cradle steel-frame is fortified with Kawasaki’s renowned Uni-Trak linkage system. This system changes leverage of the bike on the rear-shock when the suspension compresses during the ride. This means that small bumps will get light damping. On the other hand, the larger bumps will get progressively more firmer damping to provide the rider with better control.

Light-weight aluminium rims help in reducing upsrung weight to aid in improving suspension action. The wheels of this bike have hydraulic disc brakes which not only offer pronounced stopping power, but they also require little maintenance.

The current market price of the Kawasaki KX 65 is $3,699 USD.

The HONDA CBR600F 2015 Review

The Honda’s CBR600F is a legendary bike within the Honda circles. The bike was originally launched in 1987 and fetched approximately a quarter million sales before it was finally killed off in 2006. The success of this bike relied heavily on its all-round usability. The much focused CBR600RR takes on the track role while the CBR-600F is now steadily in the ‘do-it-all camp.’

The Honda CBR600F 2011 has the mechanicals, practicality, and a chassis of a Hornet. The only difference is that it has a marginally more powerful 101 b.h.p. engine, a marginally sportier but comfortable riding position, and the majority of the racy graphic appeal of the super-sports bike, the CBR600RR.

The liquid-cooled 600cc engine provides 101b.h.p./12000 revolutions per minute and 6.5Kgm/10500 r.p.m. At 4000 rpm, the acceleration provided is strong and the power provided to 5000 rpm is enough for commuting. The blasting sound of this powerful engine is good and it will satisfy most of the riders regardless of their ages.

The combined C-A.B.S. brakes are excellent. They include twin 296 m.m disc-brakes, a 240 mm disc brake- single-piston calliper on the rear side, and a three-piston callipers on the front side. They provide good breaking power and feedback, matching exactly the nature of this bike.

The Honda CBR600F 2011 bike is going at £7055 OTR.

The YAMAHA NMAX 125 Review

The production of the Yamaha NMAX 125 was mainly to challenge the best-selling Honda PCX on its home ground. This was to be achieved by the Yamaha firm by offering a fuel-efficient scooter that features a sportier look and a few big-ticket gizmos such as the Variable Valve Actuation (VAV) and ABS.

At the heart of this bike is a brand new engine. This is the type of engine that Yamaha claims that it will be used by all future scooters. Frictional losses in this scooter are cut by 18%, with a focus aimed at a roller-baring rocker arm, crankshaft oil seats, the cylinder bore lining, and the piston rings. The result of this cut is that the ultra-efficient motor now does 107 mpg on the W.M.T.C. cycle.

The scooter is light with slim dimensions and a good steering lock that is perfect for wiggling past a bust traffic queue.
It also features everyday conveniences such as a small cubbyhole that can accommodate a bottle of water, adequate under-seat room for a full-face lid, and a shielded ignition lock that can resist intrusive screwdrivers.

At £2,599, the scooter is not cheapest in the market, but it is £100 cheaper than leading Honda PCX125 and performs much better.

The 2014 Ducati 1199 Panigale R on the other hand weighs just 417 lbs and has an even lower weight to power ratio of 2.1 lbs per HP.
